K is for Kindness UK: Promoting, Sharing And Uniting Kindness

Kindness UK believes that every day should be filled with kindness. Its aim is to promote, share and unite on this basis.

Kindness UK is an independent, not-for-profit, humanitarian and non-governmental organisation based in London and works closely with schools, charities, organisations and groups.

Kindness UK considers itself the first point of call for initiatives, unbiased information and research on the subject of Kindness.

Kindness Day UK, 13th November, was set up in 2010 and is celebrated across Britain every year.

This day aims to increase the value of kindness in society as well as increase the amount of kind acts that take place in the UK, making kindness a greater part day to day life. For more information please click here.

Schools Information

Kindness UK have created a resource pack for secondary schools which includes activities and resources for teachers to use in schools to include kindness in education.

This pack has advanced material and new ideas for how to incorporate kindness into teaching and it will be distributed to schools across the UK in 2014.

The content is multi use and suitable for cross subject application and can be used alongside national curriculum subjects, by itself or as part of whole school activities.

Kindness UK have sent out free Kindness Packs to over 23,000 Primary Schools Nationwide. To see the comments made by teachers and educational experts check out our endorsements.

 About David Jamilly – Founder of Kindness UK

David founded the organisation in 2011. He also founded the Good Deeds Organisation in 2007 and co-founded Kindness Day UK in 2010.

His approach to philanthropy reached a wider audience when he was featured in the Channel 4 programme The Secret Millionaire. He also founded Pod Charity. This holds 2000 parties a year in children’s hospital wards and hospices throughout Britain.

David left school at 15. In 1980 he and his sister Kim founded Theme Traders. The company is known world wide for its expertise in party planning, event management, prop hire and production. It featured strongly in the events held at Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s 80th Birthday Party.
