Let’s assume that you want to pursue a certain activity. You may aim to encourage a person, teach a class, do a creative project, lead a team or do a piece of work.
The first steps will be: a) to clarify the results you want to achieve; b) to clarify how you can do your best to achieve these desired results. This often involves exploring the following themes.
What is the activity or piece of work I want to do? What are the real results I want to achieve? What is the picture of success? What are the strategies I can follow to do my best to achieve these results?

Great workers do their due diligence before doing a piece of work. This includes clarifying the pluses and minuses involved in reaching the goal. Bearing these in mind, you may want to explore the following themes.
What is the activity I want to pursue? What will be the potential pluses involved in working towards and achieving the goal? What may be the potential minuses?
How can I build on the pluses and manage any minuses? Bearing these in mind, on a scale 0-10 how motivated am I to do what is required to reach the goal? How can I make sure it is at least 8+/10?

Great workers also aim to keep developing by continuing to focus on desired results. They then aim: a) to build on what they are doing well; b) to focus on what they can do better; c) to translate these ideas into action.

Looking back, when have I finished something successfully? What did I do right then? What were the principles I followed? How can I follow similar principles – plus maybe add other skills – to finish the present activity successfully?
How can I keep following good habits? How can flow, focus and finish? How can I do my best to deliver the desired results? How can I add that touch of class?
