Some people follow the direction approach in their professional life. They may, for example, focus on doing work that give them positive energy. They may then aim to get paid for doing this by following a certain profession.

Some people may follow a sense of vocation. They may aim to express this vocation through various vehicles and do valuable work during their time on the planet.

Some people may follow the direction of focusing on power. They may then devote themselves to doing things that they believe will help them to follow this path successfully.

The Destination Approach

Some people follow the destination approach in their personal life. They may aim to be healthy, hopeful and happy. They may then work towards achieve these life goals or personal picture of success.

Some people may follow the destination approach when recovering from an addiction. They may aim to be sober, for example, and do this one day at a time on the way to achieving the chosen destination.

Some people may follow the destination approach in their professional life. They may aim to earn enough money, for example, that enables them to retire early or gain financial independence.

Some people may aim to pass milestones in their work. They may aim to achieve specific things, gain promotion or win prizes. Some may aim to gain status and reach what they see as the pinnacle of their career.

Some people follow what may seem like a paradoxical approach. They may aim to follow a direction by, for example, following certain principles. This direction is in itself a destination.

They see each day as an opportunity to do what they believe in and follow these principles. They focus on doing their best and enjoying the journey as much as reaching certain goals.

Such people may start the day by recentring. They focus on the principles they want to follow and how to translate these into action. This can lead to them getting wins each day.

People who take this approach enjoy following their principles and, as a by-product, may also sometimes enjoy a sense of peace. This can also be a potential destination.
