The Ideological, Inspirational And Implementation Approaches

Different people follow different approaches in their lives and work. They may choose, for example, to follow the ideological, inspirational or implementation approaches. Let’s explore these themes.

The Ideological Approach

People who take this approach often focus on pursuing a certain ideology in a pure or pragmatic way. This is a route followed by many believers, politicians and campaigners.

Some spend lots of time debating how to get the ideology right. Some keep communicating the ideology. Some translate the ideology into action in a way that may help or hurt other people.

The Inspirational Approach

People who take this approach often pursue something they feel passionately about. They then do superb work or communicate this in a way that inspires other people.

Some people translate this into a clear purpose, principles and picture of success. They position this in a way that resonates with certain people and encourages them to want to contribute towards achieving the goals.

The Implementation Approach

People who take this approach often want to go beyond the inspiration and move into action. They aim to implement the principles in a pragmatic way and do work that has a positive impact.

Such people do what they believe in. They then aim to do the basics and, when appropriate, add the brilliance. Sometimes they reach their goal and add that touch of class.

Let’s return to your own life and work. Imagine that you want to follow one of these approaches in the future. How can you do this in your own way? What may happen as a result of taking these steps?
